Good vs. Evil
The theme of good vs. evil is the most prominent theme throughout the novel. Dracula is the impersonation of evil, not just in the sense that he is trying to take over London, but also in the sense that he represents some of the biggest fears of Elizabethan England, like a foreign invasion in London. Van Helsing’s group is the representation of good; with their responsibility being to defeat the evil.
